This past summer, Tara Shishmanian '15, a Business Communication graduate, spent 17 days in Haiti as part of a service mission with Angel Wings International. Participating in the Grand Install project, she was able to help install electricity, running water, cabinetry and air conditioning in Angel Wings International's clinic.
Following her trip, she began her ten month contract with AmeriCorps working as a volunteer coordinator for the St. Bernard Project in Chalmette, Louisiana. Tara assists with scheduling volunteers and leads weekly volunteer orientation.
Tara is pictured front and center with the SU Mission: I'm Home January volunteers during their alternative winter break trip. This photo was taken after she facilitated orientation for over 100 volunteers.
