Founders’ Scholarship

Awarded to incoming freshmen on the basis of a Specialty Scholarship Interview, the Founders’ Scholarship recognizes a student’s potential to become an active, engaged member of the Stevenson community. All high school seniors who have completed a campus visit are invited to interview for this scholarship by registering for a Specialty Scholarship Interview.

There is no separate application for the Founders’ Scholarship. To be considered:

  • Apply to the University by the February 1 priority deadline.
  • Complete a campus visit by April 6 April 14.
  • Complete a specialty scholarship interview by March 1 April 19.

The Founders’ Scholarship, in the amount of $2,000, is awarded in addition to another Stevenson University merit-based scholarship. Like all of Stevenson’s scholarships, the Founders’ Scholarship is renewable for a total of four years. Students applying to the Service Scholars Program or the Leadership Scholars Program, and completing a Specialty Scholarship Interview will be automatically considered for the Founders’ Scholarship. The Founders’ Scholarship may be awarded in conjunction with either the Service Scholars Program or the Leadership Scholars Program. In this case, a student would earn a total annual award of $4,000 on top of merit-based scholarships.

Presidential Fellowship applicants are encouraged to wait to schedule a Scholarship Interview until after they have been notified if they’ve been selected as a finalist. Finalist notifications are emailed. Students selected as finalists for the Presidential Fellowship do not need to schedule and complete a Specialty Scholarship interview; the finalist interview also serves as a Specialty Scholarship interview.

Please note: All Specialty Scholarship Interviews will be held in-person unless a student requests a Zoom interview.

If there are no more Specialty Scholarship Interview slots available, please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@stevenson.edu.
