Emergency Assistance Grant

Through Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II), Stevenson was allocated funds to assist students facing financial challenges caused by the COVID‐19 pandemic.

While these funds are limited, Stevenson will use Emergency Assistance Grant to assist as many Stevenson students as possible. The grant can help students cover any component of the students cost of attendance or for emergency cost that arise due to coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, healthcare (including mental health care) or childcare.

You must complete the online form to be considered for a grant by Friday, March 19, 2021. The Financial Aid Office is responsible for determining eligibility based on a student’s need, resources, and documentation submitted in the application process.

Students will be directed to a Microsoft Office 365 Form. In order to complete the grant application, all student applicants must be logged onto their Stevenson account.
The system will only allow one application per student.

1. What is the deadline for requesting the HEERF II Emergency Assistance Grant?

March 19, 2021.

2. When will I know if I am receiving the HEERF II Emergency Assistance Grant?

The Financial Aid Office will contact you with a decision by April 19, 2021.

3. How will I receive the funds, if approved to receive the HEERF II Emergency Assistance Grant?

Student can receive their funding two ways.

  1. One as a direct payment to the student in the form of a check.
  2. Students can indicate on the HEERF II application, if they would like the funds applied to an outstanding balance.

4. Who is eligible for HEERF II Emergency Assistance Grant.

Per the U.S. Department of Education, all students are eligible for the HEERFII funds, except undocumented, DACA, and international students per the 1996 reform under 8 USC 1611(a) of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act.

5. What if my Spring 2021 account has an outstanding balance due?

The application does allow for students to designate if they would like the funding to be applied to their Student Account outstanding balance for the 2020-2021 academic year.
