1. When is your application deadline?
Our rolling admission process means we don’t have one single application deadline. Applications are reviewed throughout the year and decisions are released within 3-4 weeks of all materials being received. After March 1 applications are accepted and reviewed on a space-available basis. We encourage all students to apply by our final scholarship consideration deadline of February 1. 2. Do you have Early Action or Early Decision?
No, Stevenson uses a rolling admissions process. Applications are reviewed throughout the year and decisions are released within 3-4 weeks of all materials being received. So, the earlier you apply, the earlier you will hear back, but we have no early action or binding early decision option.
3. Do you have an application fee and can I submit a fee waiver?
There is a $40 application fee for freshmen applying by paper application. The fee is automatically waived for students applying online using the Common Application or the Stevenson application. Your school/college counselor can help you submit a fee waiver for the paper application.
4. Are there additional requirements to be considered for specific majors?
With the exception of Nursing and Biomedical Engineering, there are no additional requirements to be considered for any of our undergraduate majors. We have no portfolio or audition requirements for admission to art or performance-based programs. Admission to the university grants you admission to the major of your choice. Prospective Nursing students will find an additional short response question on the application and will be reviewed twice – once for admission to the university and once for admission to Nursing. You’ll be notified in your letter of admission whether or not you have also been admitted to Nursing. There is additional information on Nursing admission for current high school students here. 5. How do I submit my SAT/ACT scores?
Stevenson is test-optional for all applicants. We do not require SAT or ACT scores as a part of the application process or scholarship review process. Students may submit SAT or ACT scores if they wish. Test scores will not negatively impact your admission decision.
6. How do I submit my essay?
If you use the Common Application, you’ll upload your essay at commonapp.org. If you’re using the Stevenson online application, follow these instructions for uploading your essay.
7. How do I submit a letter of recommendation?
Letters of recommendation are optional to submit. If a student would like to submit them, the letter(s) must come directly from the recommender. We receive most letters of recommendation by electronic submission through the Common Application or Naviance/Family Connection. Letters can also be sent by mail, fax, or e-mail.

10. How can I check my application status online?
Students can check their application status through our Application Portal.
11. I sent in all of my materials. When will I know my decision?
Completed applications are reviewed on a rolling basis in the order in which they were received. Once an application is complete, our typical turnaround time is 3-4 weeks. We notify all applicants of their decisions by postal mail.
12. When will I hear about scholarships?
Merit scholarship awards are enclosed in admission packets. If a student is interested in any of our Specialty Scholarships, they will need to apply separate by the corresponding deadline.
13. When will I hear about financial aid?
Students who submit the FAFSA by Stevenson’s priority deadline of February 15 and have been admitted will receive an award letter in early March. See details on applying for financial aid.
14. Can I schedule an interview?
Interviews are available Monday through Friday by appointment and are an optional part of the admissions process. It is best to schedule your interview shortly after submitting the application or to bring application materials with you. 15. What is your GPA and/or SAT/ACT requirement to get into Stevenson?
Stevenson does not have a required GPA or SAT/ACT score for incoming freshmen. Our admissions counselors take a holistic approach when reviewing applications. Our current freshman class profile will give you a better idea of our admitted student averages.
16. Who should I speak with if I have additional questions?

17. I submitted the application, but I no longer want to be considered for admission. Can I withdraw my application?
You may withdraw your application at any point in the process by submitting the withdrawal form. You may also send an email to admissions@stevenson.edu with the subject line: Withdraw Application. Please be sure to write from the email address you used on your application. We are not able to withdraw an application based on a request from someone other than the applicant.
