Psychology News

Once more, Stevenson psychology students and faculty gathered for the psychology student showcase. Here students within the department presented various posters on research, internships, field placements, self-change projects, and student organizations. Keep up the great work and see you in the Fall!

Dr. Michael Frederick from the University of Baltimore spoke on evolutionary psychology topics and shared his life journey with the Stevenson community. Students and faculty alike found the talk enlightening and inspiring. We would like to thank Dr. Frederick for speaking to our community, and would love to have him back.

Attending a conference on writing, our beloved faculty networked with other professionals in the Baltimore area to exchange ideas on teaching writing to students. Honored to have hosted this at the Greenspring Campus, our faculty proudly engaged in the free conference that lasted several hours. The conference began with a keynote speech by Dr. Beins in which he discussed what students don't do and what teachers should do to help with this dilemma. Of course, there was both free breakfast and lunch provided as the conference continued with fierce networking and ideological exchanges. Overall, the conference was extremely elucidating and a worthwhile experience for faculty.

Stevenson psychology students trekked to Boston for the 2017 Eastern Psychological Association Research Conference. Here, our students presented their empirical work and networked with professionals in the field. We are proud of the work our students have produced, and even more so that they earned the opportunity to present it!
