Psychology News

Date: Nov 2014

Psychology student Lauren Shields attended the Annual Society for Neuroscience conference in Washington, D.C. on November 15th, 2014. More than 31,000 researchers, clinicians, and advocates for brain science attended the conference, which is one of the world’s largest marketplaces of ideas and tools for global neuroscience.

Dr. Iannone has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Scott Linzey Staff Award (for her work promoting the academic success of athletes) and the Building Community Award (for her work establishing  the Faculty Development Conference).

Dr. Iannone teaches a very popular class on animal assisted therapy that includes a trip to the farm where students work with her horses. When she is not teaching she spends time at her private practice where she counsels adolescents and adults.

On Friday, November 7, the first year seminar students (led by Dr. Iannone) competed in the annual Lego Challenge. The purpose of the Lego Challenge is to establish community and to help students conceptualize Career Architecture. The students had a wonderful time building and working together in a fun atmosphere.
