Film and Moving Image News

Last night, we screened our Spring 2016 Artist-in-Residence Ramona Diaz's amazing 2012 documentary Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey. This was the culmination of Ms. Diaz's successful two-day visit to our campus. Above is a photo from the first day, with, from left to right: Stevenson University President Kevin Manning, Ramona Diaz and Film & Moving Image Department Chair Christopher Llewellyn Reed.

Stevenson's annual MAP (Mustang Activities and Programming) Film Festival will take place on Thursday, February 25, at 7pm in SD101 (Soundstage) in the School of Design. For information on how to submit, check out the submission form (films due Monday, February 15).

On Wednesday, February 10, and Thursday, February 11, Stevenson's FMI (Film & Moving Image) Department will host documentary filmmaker - and Baltimore resident - Ramona S. Diaz (ImeldaThe Learning) as our Spring 2016 Artist-in-Residence. Ms. Diaz will spend two days visiting classes and talking about both her own work and the process of filmmaking, in general. ...Click here to read more.

Earlier this semester, we posted that Stevenson FMI students - working with their professor, Christopher Ernst - had shot footage for a "Don't Talk Before the Movie" short film to air before screenings at Baltimore's Historic Senator Theatre. ...Click here to read more.
