Film and Moving Image News

Keyword: welcome back

Welcome back to Stevenson! As the 2016-2017 academic year gets under way, the Film & Moving Image Department looks forward to working with students new and returning, alike. We have plenty of exciting opportunities, ahead, including visiting artists--in-residence, film festivals, and a field trip to the Newseum in Washington, DC. Stay tuned!

Above, photo from the FMI faculty retreat on August 24, featuring, left to right, standing: Alissa Jones, Dina Fiasconaro, Renee McSwain, Brittany Parker, Chris Ernst, Liz Dozier, Rick Boardman, G.T. Keplinger, (Stevenson Instructional Designer) Jenna Campos, and Chris Reed. Kneeling, below, is Evan Dahne.

In the afternoon of that retreat, we invited a guest speaker, Amy DeLouise, to talk about inclusive pedagogy in the field of Film & Moving Image. It was a great day, with both a lot of great work and a little bit of fun.
