Film and Moving Image News

There's some great work, as always, happening in our students' classes. Assistant Professor in Film & Moving Image Christopher Ernst's FMI202 (Cinematography II: Color) and FMI306 (Experimental Cinema) classes, pictured above, are innovating away. Starting in the bottom left, and moving up and clockwise, the folks whose faces you can (sort of see) are: Kara Stone, Joe Dimaio, Theo Booker (all in FMI306) and then Joshua Herrera in the middle of the right-hand column, on camera (in FMI202).

9 Stevenson Film/Video students attended the annual SXSW Festival in Austin, TX, as part of their Special Topic course, "Emerging Trends in Digital Media and Film." Pictured, above, from left to right, are Ben Block, Tariq Clark, Chelsea Clough, Anthony Manning, Malachi Broadus (kneeling in front), Theo Booker, Ryan Russell (peeking out from behind Theo), Ben Rossen and Travis Francis. A great time was had by all - we were there March 14-21 - and much was learned. Here's looking ahead to SXSW 2016. Who's with me?

For more photos of the group and of the events I attended at the festival, check out my SXSW album on Flickr. And if you want to see what I thought of the films I watched, you can check out one of my seven posts from SXSW, as listed below:
