Students in Renee McSwain's Spring 2016 FMI301 ("Documentary/Promo Production") class made this 30-second promo for Baltimore's Historic Senator Theater. It's the second spot we've done for the theatre. The first was a "Don't Talk Before the Movie" PSA. This one advertises the many food and drink options in the surrounding area, especially in Belvedere Square. Like the first promo we made, this one will also play in the theatre before screenings. To watch the video, just click on the image, above, to be taken to our Vimeo site.

Here is who did what:

Producer: Nathan Hector
Director: Nate Brubaker
Assistant Director: Danny Crapanzano
Director of Photography: Andrew Townsend
Gaffer: Kyle Azat
Grip: Jimmy Ajibode
Editor: Kyle Azat
Assistant Editor/Colorist: Nate Brubaker

This week, students in FMI Assistant Professor Christopher Ernst's FMI101 - "Cinema I: Storytelling" - and FMI303 - "Lighting" - classes continued their hands-on practice with equipment. It's the Stevenson Way.

Students in our new second-year FMI202 ("Cinematography II: Color") - a continuation of last semester's FMI201 ("Cinematography I: Black & White") - taught this semester by Exsul Van Helden (as was FMI201), continue to work with our new Canon 6D DSLR cameras on some more interesting projects. Here, they recreate three stills from previously produced color moving-image productions. In order, top to bottom, are photos (paired with the source image) by Stevenson Film and Moving Image Sophomores Nate Brubaker, Danny Crapanzano and Kara Stone.
