The students in Chris Ernst's FMI202 Cinematography: Color class have begun shooting scenes on an original music video for the song "The First Ray" by Ernst's instrumental group BELLS≥ . The script for the music video was conceived, written and developed entirely by the class and they will work in smaller production crews to shoot and edit the video. Pictured here shooting a scene using an ARRI Super 16mm film camera are Zoe Maliszewskyj, Mariam Salahvarzi, Erin Orwig, Gloria Hernandez, Jenna Miller, Kyle Whitehead, Chris Ernst and Laura Bowen in front of the camera.

Guenter Noesner, a rep from ARRI, visited Stevenson’s School of Design on Thursday, August 27, in the Soundstage (SD101) (during G.T. Keplinger’s FIVTH410 Class), with two cameras – the Amira and the Alexa Mini. These are two state-of-the-art cameras that are frequently used to shoot films and television/cable series today. A few years ago, Guenter came with an Alexa.

Above is a collage of photos from the workshop, taken by Omeed A. Nabavi of Stevenson's Office of Marketing and Digital Communications. You can see full-res versions of the photos, as well as videos, right here.
