We are excited to congratulate the first graduates of Stevenson University’s School of Design Fashion Design Program! On May 9 of this year, the first group of students received their Bachelor degrees in Fashion Design: Kaelin Clements, Ruthie Edwards, Shayna Hardesty, Nicole Myrick, and I (Fara Topolsky).

Since graduating, Shayna has begun working for Zita Apparel in Los Angeles, a new private label manufacturer. As a result of the skill set she was introduced to and worked hard to improve upon here at Stevenson, she is able to perform many tasks for the company. Shayna performs tasks such as sketching on the computer, creating tech packs, researching trends, creating designs, and communicating with their manufacturers in Asia.

Additionally, my experience and in-depth familiarity with the program has led me to be transition from student to technician, and I will be teaching next semester in the Fashion Design Program.
