On Saturday, January 9, 2016, our Program Coordinator, Sally Di Marco, led a draping workshop for six members of the American Sewing Guild. These lovely ladies came in to learn how to drape the Foundation Skirt using Ms. Di Marco’s book, “Draping Basics.” I came in to assist with the draping process, and together we taught these sewing experts how to drape the front of the skirt.
American Sewing Guild member, Ms. Galloway, recently passed away and requested that her husband sell all of her fabrics and that all proceeds should be sent to the Stevenson University Fashion Design program. We are extremely grateful for such a wonderful and generous donation.
It was a pleasure to meet and work with the women that were able to attend the draping workshop; hopefully we will see them again soon!
