More than 60 teacher candidates attended the Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference on October 17. Teacher candidates attended sessions, talked with presenters, and networked with teachers and school leaders from all over the state. The School of Education sponsored the trip by paying the registration fee and providing a shuttle for the eager teacher candidates. Sporting their SU polos, they created quite an impact at the conference with their positive attitude and enthusiasm for teaching. Notably, Stevenson had the greatest number of teacher candidates attending the conference. Plans for sharing all the great lesson ideas for teaching mathematics are currently underway.
