Four Middle School Education majors successfully completed the Escape Room Challenge sponsored by the Math and Physics Department.

Working as a team, Middle School Education majors McKenna Nartatez, Lexi Rhoten, Brittany Sharp, and Jenna Skove, along with Adjunct Instructor Barbara Lutz, successfully completed the Escape Room Challenge. In the process, they identified several strategies that they could employ when teaching in the classroom, such as determining importance, summarizing, synthesizing, visualization, drawing conclusions, and asking questions. All the participants agreed that using engaging, problem-solving activities such as this one can motivate middle school students and help them achieve.
