On Saturday, January 25, Elementary Education major Zach Feltz plunged into the icy waters of the Chesapeake Bay. The Annual Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge is a fundraising event in which individuals pledge $75 or more for the chance to plunge into the Chesapeake Bay at Sandy Point State Park in January in support of 8,033 Special Olympics athletes who train and compete year-round throughout Maryland. Zach’s next goal is to “super plunge,” in which he would plunge every hour for 24 hours.
