Chemistry faculty member, Dawn Ward (left), was on the Plenary Panel for the Paul D. Lack Scholars' Showcase at SU. Dr. Ward explained how her research has led to important results in the area of organic and medicinal chemistry, but more than that, students have benefitted by learning how to do research. Those students have used the deductive reasoning and the lab skills they learned from research in their careers and in graduate and professional school. She shared some wonderful stories about the students who have worked with her.
