Business Communication News

BizComm's new "Style Star" campaign is shining the spotlight from week to week on students who present themselves with polish and panache, whether for a special presentation or just a regular day of classes. Do you have what it takes to be a Style Star?

Our first week's award goes to the students who served as concierge for the Baltimore Book of Lists Gala at the Centrer Club. Don't they look fabulous?

Senior Peighton Perrone (on the right in the photo) is enjoying her internship at CareFirst in Owings Mills, where she is being mentored by Christina DeVaughn, the product manager in Marketing and Product Development. Peighton is using her research, writing, organizational and technical skills to find her way in the health insurance industry, particularly in the field of CareFirst's many health plans.

Do you have questions about the new Master's degree in Communication Studies that Stevenson University will begin offering in the fall? The School of Graduate and Professional Studies is offering a BS to MS information session Tuesday, February 17 from 5-6:30 p.m. on the first floor of Garrison Hall (Owings Mills Campus). Pizza and drinks will be provided. Your questions will be answered by the GPS staff. Please RSVP to Tonia Cristino by February 16 at tcristino@stevenson.edu.

Dr. Heather Harris and Professor Chris Noya will be leading a trip to Berlin during spring break, 2016, as part of a Special Topics course in Media and Culture which Dr. Harris will be teaching. The trip will examine the culture of the German city,  its politics, educational system, university life, and arts scene. Interested students should sign up with department chair Chip Rouse, and more details about the trip will be coming soon!
