Communication News

Congratulations to Business Communication professors Leeanne Bell McManus, Stephanie Verni, and Chip Rouse on the publication of their textbook Event Planning: Communicating Theory and Practice, which was celebrated on Wednesday night, Feb. 3, with a launch party in the Rockland banquet room, attended by the authors, their families, friends, members of the Stevenson community, and alums....Click here to read more.

BizComm grad Nicolette Stoner, who currently works for the Philadelphia Eagles, is leaving that job to accept a position as the Foundation and Community Relations Coordinator for the Philadelphia Union, a Major League Soccer team. She writes, "I just wanted to thank you for teaching me all that I need to know about interviews, communication, and NETWORKING! Once again, networking has gotten me a job! Many of the people I have worked with at the Eagles know people at the Union, and they were great references for me to use during the interview process."

Congratulations, Nicolette, on this exciting new venture. We know that your time as a member of Mustang soccer at SU will give you a great start with the Union.

Business Communication professors Leeanne Bell McManus and Chip Rouse, the Faculty in the Halls mentors for Western Run residence Hall, were thrilled to be able to present first-year student Adam Scott with a gift card in the amount of $250 to be used to purchase his spring term books. ...Click here to read more.

under the noiseless drift,
the paths of trains softly blocked,
the world fallen under this falling....Click here to read more.

The Business Communication department congratulates one of our own, Courtney Johnson, a member of the Stevenson Marching 100, who received an "Unsung Hero" award at the annual Marching Band banquet on Nov. 20, 2015.

Here, Courtney is pictured holding her award on stage at the banquet. Well done, Courtney! (Photo from SU Flickr)
