Many first-year residents joined their Faculty in the Halls mentors Laurel Moody, Chip Rouse, and Leeanne Bell McManus on April 1 for a visit to Light City Baltimore in the Inner Harbor. This extravaganza of light and sound drew crowds to the harbor, and the Stevenson visitors were met by several Business Communication majors who escorted the first-year students on a tour through the show. The entire evening was made possible through the efforts of Stevenson's Office of Public Affairs and Strategy and the organization of Sharon Markley, the VP of that office. Despite the stormy weather, all agreed that the night was spectacular, and the gift of the neon t-shirts made the trip that much brighter!
Strategic Factory's HR team is off to an outstanding start supporting the department of Business Communication's two Business and Professional Communication classes this semester with "real-world advice" on the job application process. Two representatives spoke with Professor Bob Ellis' class on April 6 and two more shared their perspectives on April 7. The representatives will also be back at the end of the term to help with the classes' end-of-semester mock interviews. Student reaction has been enthusiastic, as the photograph shows!
