Junior Kaitlin Kirkwood is completing her internship in the department of Business Communication under the supervision of Stephanie Verni, associate professor. Kaitlin has worked with Ms. Verni on several research and design projects, but has spent much of her time serving as a teaching assistant for the Internship Prep class that Ms. Verni instructs. In addition, Kaitlin has also worked with all of the faculty who teach the departmental First-Year Seminar and accompanied the group on the annual excursion, this year to Harper's Ferry.

Senior Zach Jefferson's love of football led him to seek out an internship with Stevenson University's football team under the direction of head coach Ed Hottle (left) and assistant coach Dustin Johnson. Before he graduated, Zach's eligibility to continue to play was finished, so he chose to intern with the team instead, helping out with recruiting, player responsibilities, and a wide variety of other tasks including watching and sorting through hundreds of recruits' game films for the coaches. Zach has learned the importance of time management and interpersonal communication during his internship.
Senior Charlie Taylor has enjoyed his internship experience with Employer Assurance Solutions in Marriottsville, Maryland. Under the mentorship of David Morningstar, owner and principal, Charlie has been learning about employer benefits packages as well as providing research assistance and organizational tracking. The company helps to reinforce employee knowledge of their employer benefits packages by collaborating with employees through comprehensive discussions and information. Charlie's knowledge of Excel has been of great assistance during his internship.
Senior Connor Skeen is interning at Elite Tournaments in Columbia, Maryland, under the mentorship of Meghan Schmidt, director of operations. Elite Tournaments organizes and manages soccer tournaments and, since its beginning, has organized over 200 youth soccer events for numerous clubs, colleges, international, and professional organizations, according to its website. Connor helps in marketing, research, and organization for the company that also handles registration, recruiters, vendors, and numerous other parts of large-scale tournaments.
