A group of Business Communication students attended a workshop on March 7 conducted by Associate Professor Stephanie Verni about the development of an online portfolio using WordPress. The workshop was tailored to the coursework and activities of the major, and the participating students came away with a portfolio they can further develop as they progress toward graduation.
The two Faculty in the Halls mentors for Western Run Hall, Leeanne Bell McManus and Chip Rouse, were thrilled with the turnout of 54 students who participated in the residence hall's "Citation Treasure Hunt" along with two popular members of the library staff responsible for creating the event for the residents. Librarians Sara Godbee and Rebecca Pad staffed the game tables along with Tess Gillis, Academic Integrity Officer, and a student helper. Residents who completed the hunt were eligible for a raffle drawing for an Amazon gift card, or one from Dunkin' Donuts. Award-winning comment? "Who knew citations could be fun?"
