Business Communication and M.S. Comm Studies '17 alum Amy Sharfman reached out to us to let us know she has just landed a full-time position with Medifast as an event planner for the company's subsidiary, Take Shape For Life.  She explained that the company’s annual convention is in the middle of July, at which time she will fly to Dallas to help out. She also mentioned that another Business Communication and M.S. Comm Studies alum, Samantha Perillo, will also be going to the convention.
Amy writes, "I’m being thrown right in, but I’m excited to finally be working again, especially since I will be doing what I’m familiar with. Many thanks to you and the other Business Communication professors for helping me prepare for my career!"

In her continuing quest to run 4K for Cancer across America, Business Communication alum Jen Antonelli spent Day 18 crossing the state line from Laramie, Wy., to Scott's Bluff, Neb. Jen writes, "We made it to our sixth state!! What a great day running and hanging around in the Midwest heat!"

Jen began running on her 4000+-mile journey across America through the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adult’s 4K for Cancer program in early June. Along with 30 other runners, Jen started her 49-day journey in San Francisco to raise awareness and funds for cancer in honor of those among her family and friends who have suffered or died from the disease.
