Kaitlin is working with members of nearly every department in the Silver Spring branch as she compiles event information and schedules space for in-house events.
Senior Darien Baker signed up for an on-campus interview with Enterprise, and got the paid internship right away. Her work in the company's management trainee program has taught her every aspect of Enterprise's policies and procedures. Darien's strong interpersonal skills have particularly impressed her branch manager, Bryon Daniels, who has encouraged Darien to continue to learn as much as she can during her time with the company.
Senior Jake Miller is enjoying his internship with WorldStrides/Excel International Sports in Glenwood, Md. WorldStrides organizes student travel packages for schools, and recently acquired Excel International Sports, which creates and organizes sports tours for youth, high school, Olympic Development and NCAA teams in the United States and abroad. Jake's attentiveness to details, and his experience traveling abroad with Stevenson's soccer team, have helped him make this internship a success. He is working with his mentor, Jill Newman, who oversees operations and customer service.
Senior Shannon Burt (in the photo on the right) is thrilled to be interning in Baltimore city at T. Rowe Price. Under the mentorship of Chantal Edwards, the Project Manager-Diversity and Inclusion, Shannon is participating wholeheartedly in the corporate culture of the company, conducting research for various events and publications. According to one T. Rowe Price employee, Craig Watson in Investments,“The firm is committed to creating the best work experience for associates regardless of their gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. I see it every day, and it makes me proud to work at T. Rowe Price.” Shannon is working to keep that culture flourishing.
Senior Jaclyn May's expertise and interest in field hockey propelled her to seek an internship at Baltimore-based STX, a global sports manufacturer with product lines in field hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, and men's ice hockey. Jaclyn is working under the direction of Carrie Macioce, the field hockey brand manager (on the left in the photo), who has given Jaclyn work in the field of social media as well as actual in-person product demonstrations and sales to the public. Jaclyn has used her knowledge of the sport to help out the company.
