To celebrate Dr. Kevin J. Manning's retirement after 17 years at the helm of Stevenson University, members of the SU community attended an amazing gala in his honor on Saturday, June 10, 2017.
The Renaissance Harborplace was the site of the celebration, and over 400 guests were in attendance, including those from Business Communication (in the photo) Dr. Leeanne Bell McManus, alum Kylie Handler, and professor Chip Rouse.
Also joining the event were many other Business Communication alums including Matt Winebrenner, Nick Farano, Lorie Elgert Fabiano, Mimi Bory Tinkler, Julia Tucker (who sang the Stevenson Alma Mater), Matt Johnson, Tonia Cristino and Lauren Humphries.
Those in attendance agreed that the event was the perfect way to say farewell and thank you to Dr. Manning for his leadership and service over the last 17 years.
Hearty congratulations go out to Business Communication alum Kristen Baione Clymer, who was awarded her Master's degree in Strategic Communication from American University's School of Communication on May 13, 2017.
According to American University's website, the degree combines "the foundational theories of effective communication with practical application to make an impact in a constantly changing media landscape."
