Lee KrahenbuhlDr. Lee Krähenbühl has been named as the department chair for Communication Programs in the School of Design. Having recently served as SUO’s Interim Dean for the last several months, Provost Dr. Susan Gorman said, "He has done an excellent job steadying the ship and navigating through choppy waters under trying circumstances, and I am very grateful for his dedication and service." Dr. Krähenbühl will assume the role on Monday, October 12, and will oversee the accelerated online undergraduate degree, traditional undergraduate degrees in Communication Studies and Business Communication, and the graduate program in Communication Studies. Congratulations, Dr. K!
47 House47 House, the integrated marketing communication club on campus, is meeting virtually this semester and is already formulating plans for the annual spring Business Mixer (BusMix), which is typically held in March. As well, the club has decided to offer virtual coffee chats with professionals in the field, as a lead-up to the March event. The Business Mixer for 2021 will revolve around entrepreneurs, which will include Stevenson graduates who have started their own companies. In the past, the BusMix has featured sports professionals, communication pros, and alums. More details on the upcoming events will be posted as dates are set. Stay tuned! 

Cynethia MahoneCongratulations to BizComm grad, Cynethia Mahone, for her promotion to Soldier for Life - Transition Assistance Program Contractor Installation Manager. The mission of her program is to deliver a world-class transition program for America's Army that empowers members to make informed career decisions that enhances lives, communities and our nation. This program enables soldiers to capitalize on their Army experience and skills. Way to go, Cynethia, and congratulations on your promotion!

Jaclyn May work anniversarySU BizComm graduate Jaclyn May celebrated her two-year anniversary at Kenneth Clark Company, located in Columbia, MD. As the marketing communication specialist for the company, May is responsible for promoting and marketing the company's role of handling all sizes of shipments from a single pallet to super loads. The company's network of carriers allows them to service the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Congratulations, Jaclyn! And best of luck as you continue to grow in your role!
