Brent Hiken page in PLLBusiness Communication alum Brent Hiken '15 will play with Redwoods LC during the inaugural weekend of the Premier Lacrosse League at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 2. The game will be televised on the NBC Sports Network. As a student at Stevenson, Brent played for the Mustangs' lacrosse team as a faceoff specialist.

Brent HikenThe professional field lacrosse league  is a six-team touring league featuring 160 of the best lacrosse players in the world. The teams will travel to a total of 14 cities in their inaugural season, including a stop in Baltimore at Johns Hopkins' Homewood Field June 22-23, according to gomustangsports. The new league is a direct competitor of Major League Lacrosse, which has been established for 18 years. Dr. Deric GReene and others promoted

The department of Business Communication joins Stevenson University in congratulating Dr. D. M. Greene on his promotion to full professor. The promotion was announced at the annual faculty awards ceremony. on May 28, 2019.  In the photo, Dr. Greene (top right) joins the other faculty members who were promoted to  various positions.

Dr. Greene joined the Business Communication faculty in 2004, having received his Ph.D. from Howard University in Human Communication Studies.

Chip Rouse wins Noya award

Associate professor of Business Communication, Chip Rouse, was named the first-ever "Christine Noya-- Heart of Stevenson" award winner on May 28, 2019, at the annual faculty awards ceremony.

The award commemorates the legacy of faculty member, administrator, and long-time beloved SU member, Christine Noya, who passed away in 2019.

Rouse was nominated for the award by her department. She also received a faculty research grant at the same time to be used for planning and holding an event planning symposium with her colleagues in 2020.
