Communication News

The First-Year Seminar students in Business Communication are busily working on their final presentations about the recent class trip to Philadelphia. They have taken photographs and videos, and are considering the stories they learned that are unique to the City of Brotherly Love, as well as their own stories, interpretations and reflections about what they learned there. Presentations to the department will begin on Nov. 11.

BizComm professors Dr. Heather Harris and Dr. Deric Greene are chairing the second annual "Stevenson University Scholars Showcase" to be held Jan. 30, 2015. The "Call for Papers" for the conference has already gone out, and abstracts are due by Oct. 23, 2014. See the flier for information about submission of papers.

BizComm Alaina Peterson, who's studying at NUI Galway for the semester, recently visited the Cliffs of Moher with some university friends and sent us this lovely shot of her travels there. Alaina loves the university life in Ireland, and finds it differs greatly from her coursework at SU. She'll be back at Stevenson in the spring to finish up her degree work.
