The new Business Communication inductees to Lambda Pi Eta (LPH) enjoyed a welcoming ceremony on Saturday, April 18, 2015, with their faculty, families and friends in the St. Paul Companies Pavilion.
The interim dean of the School of Design, Amanda Hostalka, greeted and congratulated them, and the organization's moderator, Dr. Leeanne Bell McManus, introduced the outgoing officers: Nicolette Stoner, Courtney Hastings, Frankie Reynolds and Taylor Festerman. Keynote speaker Dr. Omowale Elson spoke about their achievements, and after the group paused for a wildly successful photo shoot amid the tulips, the officers, departmental faculty and guest departed for a celebratory dinner.
In the photos below, four roommates gathered for a photo together, and Conrad Ellis, who couldn't attend the ceremony because he was playing in an SU tennis match, caught up afterwards with his parents who had accepted his certificate and honor cords for him.
In the final photo, the entire group, including the retiring officers and Dr. Bell McManus, smile for the camera.
