The next “Lunch Lessons” offered by the department of Business Communication will include three very near and dear alums: Julia Pettingill Webster, CPSM, Lauren Humphries, and Jake Quimby. They will visit the university for the event on Oct. 16, 2014.

Webster, who graduated in 2001, is the senior marketing coordinator at Rummel, Klepper & Kahl, for which she manages and coordinates the writing of large company must-win transportation proposals and qualification packages. RK&K is an engineering form specializing in the transportation, environmental, construction and utilities fields.

Humphries, a 2008 graduate, recently took on a new career as she became the marketing manager for the LUNGevity Foundation, a non-profit close to her heart. Previously, she served for nearly four years in marketing and special events for campus recreation services at Towson University.

Jake Quimby made a start right here at Stevenson University after graduating. He works in the Admissions Office specifically with publications, and has even served as a mentor to other BizComm interns. He will share a narrative about transitioning from student to employee at Stevenson.

Ten BizComm students and the faculty in the department will join the two for the event.
