A wonderful retirement party to celebrate the end of a career at Stevenson University for assistant professor Christine Noya was the highlight of Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018. Former faculty and staff, as well as many alums, came back to say farewell, and many current faculty, staff and friends were on hand to enjoy the festivities. Dr. Elliot Hirshman presented Professor Noya with a parting gift along with some words of congratulations and celebration, and Susan Gorman, Ph.D. and provost, thanked Chris for her 33 years of service. Amanda Hostalka, dean of the school of Design, and Nadene Vevea, associate dean and chair of communication programs, also expressed their gratitude for Chris’ many contributions to the department and the university. Faculty members Chris Roberts, Alex Hooke, Chip Rouse, Laurel Moody and Alexander Boulton shared some insights about Chris’ years at Villa Julie College/Stevenson University, and her family was well represented during the party. Congratulations, Chris. We will all miss you! (Photos from SU Flickr)
