RyanP headshotHeartfelt congratulations go to communication student and Men's Hockey captain Ryan Patrick, who signed with the Peoria Rivermen of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). 

The SPHL is a professional ice hockey league based in Huntersville, North Carolina, with teams located primarily in the southeastern United States. Patrick, who made his debut with Peoria on February 27 against Vermillion, concluded his four-year playing career with the Mustangs earlier this month. 

Ryan posted three shots with a +1 rating during his debut contest for Peoria, a 5-0 shutout victory. 

Ryan Patrick PeoriaRyan is a native of Morgantown, W.Va., and holds the program's all-time points record (87) and is tied for the all-time mark in assists (63). He earned All-MAC Second Team honors during the 2019-20 season, later scoring 10 goals with 16 assists as a senior in 2021-22. 

Patrick is tied for fourth in program history with 24 career goals, notching a +30 rating over his four-year Stevenson career.

Ryan Kenney on the iceBizComm sophomore Ryan Kenny is the "Stang in the Spotlight" in athletics this week. Ryan, who hails from Sparta, New Jersey, plays men's hockey at Stevenson and aspires to play professionally in the future.

According to Ryan, "Playing for Stevenson is extremely special. I love throwing on the Mustang jersey every Friday and Saturday night and going to war with my teammates. Each moment I'm on the ice it's always the best time for me." So far, Ryan's favorite moments at Stevenson include getting to the rink early for practice, beating St. Norbert and playing at Utica College, and taking a course in marketing.
