On Saturday, April 23, the Maryland Communication Association held its 38th annual conference hosted by Stevenson University. The Maryland Communication Association (MCA) is a group of communication educators, students, and professionals throughout the state of Maryland. Dr. Heather Harris served as the keynote speaker for the event, and her presentation offered insight into social justice, equity, diversity and inclusion, with Dr. Harris sharing examples and citing her extensive research. Students and faculty attended the conference virtually, walking away with information grounded in communication principles and theories. Special thanks to Dr. Lee Krahenbuhl for coordinating the event and to those who attended the conference.
