Junior Lanie Swanhart (center) is interning at Art with a Heart, under the supervision of Christina Ralls (left), the director of workforce development and social enterprise, and Audrey Hamilton (right), assistant to the executive director.  Art with a Heart brings visual art classes to abused, neglected and abandoned children; homeless people; battered women and their children; mentally and physically disabled adults; low-income senior citizens; elementary, middle, and high school students; youth in after-school programs; and children receiving long-term health care, according to its website. Lanie helps in event planning, programming, and community outreach, and on the creative side as well.
