Business Communication alum Cara Hill (class of 2007) checked in with the department after she heard news of the recent publication of the event planning textbook: “I just wanted to congratulate you on the publication of your textbook Event Planning: Communicating Theory and Practice. Last year I got my CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) certification, and still in the planning industry. I can’t wait to read the book!”
While she was a Stevenson student, Cara played basketball for the Mustangs, setting several school records that still stand today. She served as a graduate assistant after she graduated and received a Master’s degree in Business and Technology Management. Cara served with the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) for over five years, in their meetings department. She is now a government contractor for the Department of State in IT Project Management.
