Communication News

Date: Oct 2021

Marie-Clare OfoegbuThe Communications faculty would like to congratulate Marie-Clare Ofoegbu, who was selected to be part of the Homecoming Court in 2021.

The senior Communication Studies major participated in the on-field halftime activities as part of Homecoming honors! Here she is pictured in the stadium stands in a photo taken by Dr. Leeanne Bell McManus.

Lots of communication alums returned to Stevenson for Homecoming 2021 on October 23, to visit with friends, faculty, current students, and staff.  The day began with the traditional Homecoming tailgate on the North campus and was capped with a thrilling football victory against Widener University. Check out some photos of the day!

Event Planner graphicAre you an alum looking to put your event planning skills to use? Look no further than your alma mater! Stevenson is looking for an Event Setup Coordinator who will plan, setup, and execute campus events. This includes booking event spaces, contacting clients, identifying setup and technical requirements, and breaking down events. Excellent Audio/Visual skills and experience are required.  A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the event industry is required, and experience with audio visual equipment is also a must. Experience with scheduling software (Ad Astra) and diagram software (All Seated) is a plus. Here's the link for the posting! (Image from GoGraph.com)

DeJonna F and Catholic Review article

Congratulations to Stevenson University Business Communication graduate DeJonna Ferrar, who was included in a Catholic Review feature on Cristo Rey Jesuit School in Baltimore. She serves as the marketing coordinator for the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore, and speaks about how her education at the Jesuit school prepared her for the future, not forgetting her Stevenson education either! So proud of you, DeJonna!
