Award for Academic Achievement in Communication
Celebrates a graduating Communication senior who has shown consistent scholastic growth over the arc of the student’s tenure as a major in the department. The award recognizes a student whose path to graduation has been marked with passion and perseverance. Through this award, the faculty in the Communication programs attest that the recipient made a commitment to learning, engaged the discipline in meaningful ways, and demonstrated academic achievement.

Award for Leadership and Excellence in Communication
Celebrates a graduating Communication senior who exemplifies the values of competent communication in practice. The award recognizes a student who has demonstrated outstanding communication skills both inside and outside the classroom through leadership, advocacy, and/or service to the department, the school, and the larger community. Through this award, the faculty in the Communication programs recognize the leadership potential in a diverse world when communication theory is put into practice.

Award for Creative Initiatives in Communication
Celebrates a graduating Communication senior who creatively integrates the core foundations of Business Communication with regard to communication theory, writing, business, and design in endeavors both at the university and in related work outside of the university, whether through internships, jobs, or volunteer pursuits. Through this award, the faculty in the Communication programs recognize the student’s creative contributions to the department, university, and higher education, along with personal, professional, and academic achievement.

Stevenson athletics is celebrating the 25th anniversary of NCAA athletics at the institution, which began at Villa Julie College in the 1994-95 academic year, according to gomustangsports.com. The women's lacrosse 25th anniversary team includes three Business Communication alums. Their photos are from gomustangsports archives during their years of play at VJC/Stevenson:

In order to be eligible for the 25th Anniversary teams, former student-athletes must have used up their eligibility prior to 2018-19, have graduated from Villa Julie College/Stevenson University, and left their program and the institution in good standing. A maximum of 25 former student-athletes will be honored in each sport.
