Business Communication News

Date: Sep 30, 2018

Two Business Communication faculty members and a former faculty member from the department helped to host a "Pancakes for Breakfast" event as part of Stevenson's "Faculty in the Halls" program. Dr. Leeanne Bell McManus and Chip Rouse were joined by Chris Noya on Saturday morning, Sept. 29, in the first-year quad as they served up pancakes, sausage, coffee, fruit and donuts to the residents of Western Run, Patapsco and Susquehanna Halls. They were joined by two other Faculty in the Halls members, Romas Laskauskus and Laurel Moody, as well as some of the First-Year Success Coaches.

Junior Business Communication major Emma Cathy Smith, a member of the Marching 100, Stevenson's premier marching band, took her place on the 50-yard line prior to the Mustangs' football game against Delaware Valley University to sing the National Anthem.

The Sept. 29, 2018, game also featured the Massed Band Experience, in which 400 students from area high schools joined Stevenson's Marching 100 on the field at halftime to play a medley of songs for the halftime show.

Congratulations, EmC! Your voice was lovely and you seemed quite at ease!
