The department of Business Communication congratulates Dr. Leeanne Bell McManus on her promotion to full professor. Dr. Bell McManus was one of several professors promoted at the annual Faculty Awards Dinner on Thursday, April 20. Dr. Bell is the faculty advisor to Lambda Pi Eta, the honor society of the National Communication Association and will serve as convention organizer of the Eastern Communication Association's 2018 conference in Pittsburgh, Penn., serving as the Vice-President Elect. She is the co-author of three books and numerous other publications as well. A well-deserved promotion, Dr. Bell McManus!

This year the Lambda Pi Eta honor society and members of the Business Communication department participated in Relay for Life in honor of Professor Christine Noya, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. The name of the team was Chris' Kako’o, which means Chris’ Supporters in Hawaiian, which coincides with the Luau theme of Relay in 2017. Many members of the department, including some of the professors, joined the team and helped the fight against cancer in honor of our beloved professor. The team raised over $2,800 for Relay and the American Cancer Society.
