Biz Comm alum Kelsey Marden reached out to us about her exciting career! She writes:

"Currently I am working as an assistant for a Baltimore freelance photographer, Justin Tsucalas, who shoots a wide range of subjects. He frequently works with Baltimore magazine, Baltimore Style, BmoreArt and several other local magazines as well as many of the city's restaurants. I'm able to learn a lot from him by attending shoots and practicing in his studio while also contributing my writing and design skills to his business! Outside of working for Justin, I am freelancing photography, writing, and some graphic design. Any of the photography jobs that Justin can't take on he's been passing along to me, and I'm continuing to shoot events for Baltimore magazine. I also started writing for BmoreArt as a freelancer and will have my first article out in just a couple of weeks!"

Congratulations, Kelsey, for following your dreams and finding success in writing and the arts! In the photo, she's shown during her internship at Baltimore Magazine.

Here's the scoop from SmartCEO, directly from Jaime Nespor-Zawmon, president of the company:

"Hats off to Emily Hall [BizComm's Emily Pullarn Hall] who is celebrating a major milestone today: her five-year anniversary at SmartCEO.

Emily has accomplished many things in her tenure here. She started out as an account executive for the Baltimore team and after a little while left us to pursue another opportunity. But she quickly realized how much she missed SmartCEO and working with her clients, so she returned and has never looked back! Emily is a "get it done" kind of girl! She works hard to get it DONE! From executing projects, sales and working for her clients, she always has a great attitude. In 2016 Emily broke another huge milestone… $1,000,000 in career sales! She currently has $1,196,388 in career sales and ranks 10th in the all-time records list.

I found these mottoes Emily says she lives by from two years ago, and I have to say, they definitely hold true: “There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs,”  and “The best way to live your life is to always keep a smile on your face.” Emily is a great team player, and she does always have a smile on her face!

Emily’s next move with SmartCEO is to take on the position of Market Director for the Baltimore market. But her most exciting role is about to happen in just a few days when she becomes a first time Mom! Please join me in congratulating Emily on ive great years! Cheers to you and all that you have accomplished!"

The Business Communication department congratulates Emily for her amazing accomplishments!
