His love of sports propelled senior Andrew Grimm into an internship with World Strides/Excel International Sports in Glenwood, Maryland. The company specializes in international sport tours for youth and collegiate teams with a focus on cultural exchange and competitive play. Under the supervision of vice president Eric McAleer, company founder and former European professional soccer player, Andrew has conducted research, helped with sales pitches, and gotten a glimpse into the intricate job of preparing international sports travel proposals.
Senior Lanie Swanhart has a dream internship -- that is, if you love the circus! Here she is clowning around with her supervisor and mentor, public relations guru Edie Brown herself. Working in the field of PR, Lanie has learned, means early mornings and late nights but she has prospered learning the ropes from one of the most knowledgeable folks in the field.  Feld Entertainment, who runs the circus when it comes to the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, is one of Edie's  clients.
Senior Chris McKneely loves his internship with Lightning Wear Apparel, a Kensington, Maryland-based company that manufactures custom uniforms and apparel for all sports, including lacrosse, football, basketball, baseball, soccer, track and field, tennis, golf, field hockey, intramural teams, fraternity and sorority sports, club teams and youth sports. With customers around the world, Lightning Wear Apparel is particularly proud of its high-quality and unique dye sublimation process, and Chris has been involved in every aspect of design and production. He has also developed strong customer service skills during his time at the company under the supervision of company president Dan Walsh.
Senior Nick Schafer (in the photo on the right) has been working as a marketing intern at Brick Bodies under the mentorship of Josh Gerber, vice president of marketing. The company includes a chain of coed and women-only health clubs located in the Baltimore, Maryland area, with its corporate offices in Timonium, Maryland, and with plans to expand in the central Maryland region with more than a dozen clubs planned to open in the next three to five years. Nick's work has been in areas of public relations, market research and customer service.
