Communication News

Date: Feb 16, 2016
The department recently heard from one of our alums, Jessica Barley, who is a graduate assistant and student in the Applied Gerontology Masters Program at Towson University. She writes: "I  wanted to share with you that I accepted a full-time administration position at Brightview, the company I interned with while I was at Stevenson. I will be at the Towson location now instead of in Bel Air, but I am so excited to start next week!  I thought you would be excited to hear that I went through four separate interviews for the position and I felt so prepared because of my business communication courses. All of the information I learned is certainly so relevant in the working world. Thank you for all of your advice and preparation in my undergraduate years!"

Great news, Jess! We are so proud of you and love the path that your career is taking you. (Jessica is shown on the right in the photo during her internship at Brightview).
Future Stevenson Scholars' Day (Feb. 13) was filled with lots of visitors, questions, excitement and fun as over a dozen BizComm students showed up to help out the faculty with the departmental presentation.  A tremendous "thank you" goes out to our students: Sarah Cullison, Erin Schapiro, Lauren Novsak, Conrad Ellis, Lanie Swanhart, Emma Ragon, Megan Donahue, Emily Rosenthal, and Lauren Kiper, and Admissions leaders Annie McCoach, AJ Grimm, and Corrin Harris. They joined Business Communication faculty members Heather Harris, Stephanie Verni, Leeanne Bell McManus and Chip Rouse for the event.
