The launching party of '47 House and the Shapiro lecture with Kevin Byrne received awards from NACURH as best social and educational events of the month. Congratulations to the department for their event planning and management, and thanks to the students in the major who nominated them.

Congratulations to the Spring 2016 interns in Business Communication!

Most of the editorial staff of The Villager celebrated the end of the final print semester with a business dinner at the Silver Spring Mining Company in Cockeysville. Around the table are Emily Rosenthal, Chip Rouse (faculty advisor), Kylie Handler, Katlyn Lamp, Conrad Ellis, Jasmine Moses, and Hayley Jacobs. Missing were Emma Ragon and Ebi Short.

Thanks to the efforts of Stevenson's Marketing and Digital Communications team, the Community Times picked up on the visit of Ravens' vice president of public and community relations, Kevin Byrne, and his lecture here at Stevenson as part of the Shapiro/Rouse lecture series in Business Communication.  The short article and accompanying photos (above) gave the event just enough visibility for readers of the newspaper. Kudos to Dave Snyder, SU public relations specialist, for his efforts on behalf of the event!

On Monday, Dec. 7, Faculty in the Halls teamed up with '47 House, the public relations, advertising, and marketing club, to offer free coffee, donuts, and juice to the residents of Western Run, Patapsco, Susquehanna, Herring Run, and Wakefield Halls. This was a nice way to help start the residents off with a treat during exam week. At left, freshman Lauren Novsak and junior Julia Cooke hand out breakfast in Herring Run.
