BizComm alum Gary Gray ('13)  has begun a new job as the Recruitment Coordinator at Howard University. He works with new job candidates and hiring managers to manage the flow of candidates through the recruitment process, from scheduling interviews to bringing new employees on board.  Gary's strong interpersonal communication skills and his engaging personality made him a lock for the position. In the photo, Gary's on the right during his internship at the U.S. Naval Academy in sports marketing, next to his supervisor, Chris Grosse. Congratulations on your new position, Gary!


Biz Comm alum Jamie Schafer continues her work as the Director of Operations with the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce in Towson, Md.  She is responsible for updating and procuring membership, collaborating with the SBRC Board and staff members, managing the front of the office, and planning  networking events, among other things. While she was a student, Jamie interned with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Maryland in outreach and event planning. Jamie also is a blogger for Homemade Bride, LLC.

Julia Tucker ('14) embraced the opportunity to sing with Josh Groban during his Sept. 14 concert at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.

Julia approached the stage with a note that mentioned her hopes of singing "The Prayer" with the singer. Groban agreed and the two sang a few verses together. Julia is still excited about the experience, which can be seen on YouTube. Congrats, Julia... what a great opportunity!

Congratulations to alum Kristin Baione ('14) who recently accepted a position with Syracuse University's Greenberg House in Washington, D.C.  Kristin is an administrative assistant to the director of Program & Facilities Operations for the Greater Washington/Mid-Atlantic area. Prior to this position, Kristin worked in several positions where she developed and enhanced her marketing, event planning, public relations, and interpersonal communication skills. Kristin is shown on the right in the photo during a recent poster session.

Christina Kemp ('14) will soon celebrate her one-year work anniversary with Palace Resorts. As a business development manager, she educates travel agencies in the Mid-Atlantic region to keep them up to date with Palace Report promotions. In her role, Christina travels to the resorts several time each year. While at Stevenson, Christina held three internships that gave her experience in the fields of public relations, event planning, and marketing. Congratulations, Christina... We wish you continued success! Here she is, at left, enjoying another day at the office!
