BizComm alum Kayla Wilson (center in the photo) reached out to let us know she will be entering law school at Michigan State University in the fall, having applied to and been accepted at all six of her choices! While she was a student here, Kayla intered at the Career Offices at the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, under the mentorship of Dana Morris, Assistant Dean (on the right) and Rita Jones, Career Development Associate. Kayla’s interest in the law continued to grow, culminating in this wonderful career choice! Congratulations, Kayla!
Senior Kelsey Spriggs (in the photo on the right) will not have to travel far from her beloved Greensprng campus when she begins her job after graduation at Gramercy Mansion just around the corner on Greenspring Valley Road. Having interned at the site, she was so pleased when her site supervisor, Jennifer Sullivan (a former BizComm hersefl!) offered her a full-time position in marketing and communications at the bed and breakfast/event site/conference center. Congratulations, Kelsey!
Congratulate senior Britany Post, who was offered a full-time position after graduation through her internship at Baltimore Orthopaedics, where she will be responsible for marketing, event planning, corporate communication, design and a variety of other tasks. Here she is seen with her site supervisor, Ryan O'Donnell, the director of marketing for the company. Way to go, Britany!
Junior Ashley Mil has enjoyed her internship at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra at the Meyerhoff in the area of public relations, marketing and communications. Ashley has had a wide range of experiences including writing and editing press releases, helping out with major events, and developing media contacts. Here she is seen on the right with Eileen Andrews, the vice president of marketing and communications for the BSO in the beautiful lobby of the Meyerhoff next to the BSO's new logo.
Liz Jerzyk has enjoyed her semester at Baltimore's 98 Rock radio station working in promotions. Though she's occasionally at the station, more often than not Liz can be found mingling with the station's fans at a remote site, interacting with them, playing games, and handing out prizes. Liz's interpersonal communication skills are essential in such an outgoing position, and she's seen here in the photo with one of her supervisors, Blake Bryant, as they prepare to set up remotely at the Baltimore Zoo.
