Business Communication News

Date: Dec 3, 2015

Students in Dr. Deric Greene's Complexity of Identities Special Topics class began oral presentations on their final projects. Here, the first three students present their writing and research to the audience on the topic of "Naming Ourselves": Princewill Nwachuku, Colleen Shipley, and Peighton Perrone.

Following them, three more students presented their work on the interconnection between gender issues, perception and identity. They were Matthew Perry, Annie McCoach and Savannah Lawrence. Their presentations before an audience of their peers and faculty members were polished, interesting and engaging throughout.

Senior intern Brittany Bryant has been busy in her promotions internship with 66 RAW, an online radio station in Baltimore that also broadcasts via mobile devices. She has been working under the mentorship of Nate Anderson, the director of operations, a professional DJ, and one of the on-air personalties for the hip-hop station. Brittany's work in social media, promotions, and marketing has given her a window into the world of music and broadcasting.

Students were treated to another "Breakfast at Midnight" courtesy of SU faculty and staff. Though it really wasn't midnight, the students appreciated the pancakes, eggs, tater tots, French toast and breakfast meats as they hunkered down to study for exams. Serving up pancakes once again was Business Communication department chair Chip Rouse (left), joined by other members of the SU community and friends. (Photo courtesy of Hope Miller Miles)
