BizComms, our Office of Career Services tells us to save the date for the Maryland Career Consortium Career Fair, on Friday, February 20, 2015, from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., at Loyola University Maryland's Reitz Arena. Word has it that over 125 employers will be attending. The MCC Career Fair, open to college students and alumni only, is an opportunity to meet and network with employers from local, regional and national industries including the government, private and non-profit sectors. BizComm associate professor Stephanie Verni is nearly ready to launch her second novel, Baseball Girl, a contemporary romance as well as a story about the love a girl has for her father, with baseball as the perfect backdrop. Congratulations to two of our BizComm alums who have accepted new positions in the world of work. Jamie Schafer has joined the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce after spending a year as a logistics specialist at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, where she also interned. The Chamber of Commerce is a member-driven organization that has been the voice of business in Baltimore County for nearly 50 years. Good luck on your new endeavor, Jamie!
