Congratulations to former BizComm student Katie Peterson Welsh (pictured far left) whose promotion from assistant to associate director of Alumni Relations at Stevenson University is well-deserved. Katie had a tremendous hand in this year's very successful alumni golf outing as well, just one example of her hard work and organization.

Here she is shown on the left with some of the BizComm faculty, a student and another alum at one of the department's "Lunch Lessons" during spring 2014.

Congratulations to senior BizComm Sammy Perillo who scored a terrific internship with Medifast, Inc., as their social media and public relations intern this summer. Medifast is an American nutrition and weight loss company based in Owings Mills, Maryland.

Her work includes an investigation of bloggers and the chance to work on some of the company's own blogs. In the photograph, she is shown with PR guru Edie Brown, with whom Sammy interned in spring 2014.

It's almost time for the BizComm faculty to meet and greet the new members of the class of 2018 for their "Mustang Day"! BizComm majors will enjoy a day of welcome on Monday, June 23, a day filled with orientation games, lunch, sessions about logins and ID cards, and of course a chance to meet the BizComm faculty for pre-registration. Any students with questions can email department chair Chip Rouse at (Photo from Stevenson University Flickr site)

The Villager staff will welcome senior Alyssa Yuan as editor-in-chief for the fall term, 2014. Alyssa served as a features editor in 2013-14, and as a staff reporter prior to that.

She will graduate a semester early in December, and her internships in marketing at Gramercy Mansion and as a public relations assistant with Edie Brown and Associates will prepare her well for a career.

Alyssa's skills in writing, editing, and design will lead the way for the newspaper staff. In the photo, Alyssa has some playful time in Ireland with a street performer.
