To raise money for the House of Ruth, all Stevenson University students and staff are invited to participate in the first-ever SU Color Run on Oct. 22 from 4-6 p.m. on the Greenspring Campus. Proceeds from registration will help the House of Ruth, a shelter for victimized women and children, fund basic food and other necessities. The departments of Business Communication and Student Activities are the primary sponsors of the 4K challenge (about 2.5 miles) which will be run or walked on the cross country track on the Greenspring Campus.

Registration is at The Rock and costs $10 for SU community members. Guests may run the course for $15. To receive an event T-shirt, register by Oct. 13. Prizes will be awarded for craziest and most spirited outfits.

CM 265, Event Planning and Publicity, has planned, organized and will execute the event.

Junior BizComm Lanie Swanhart helped lead the Stevenson University cross country team on Saturday, September 27, at the Don Cathcart Invitational at Salisbury University.

Swanhart ran a time of 25:18 in the 5K finishing just behind teammate Brittany Appleby.

On Saturday, September 27, the Stevenson University football team won their fourth game of the season on the road at Albright College. This is the first time in school history that the football team is 4-0, and six members of the Business Communication department contributed to the effort.

Congratulations to freshman Daniel Williams who started at quarterback. Other BizComm starters for the Mustangs included Andrew Wysoki and Jarrett Bragg. Frederick Terry, Anthony Arcell, Danny Miller and Zach Jefferson also helped lead the Mustangs to the 13-6 win over Albright.
