Under the sponsorship of Business Communication professor Heather Harris, author and law professor Daniel Hatcher spoke to students, faculty and staff on Feb. 8 in the Rockland banquet room as he presented his new nationally acclaimed book, The Poverty Industry: Exploitation of America’s Most Vulnerable Citizens.
Hatcher is on faculty at the University of Baltimore school of law, and examined the impact of class in America, as well as the ways protective systems have failed the poorest and most vulnerable citizens.
