The Business Communication students in Lambda Pi Eta — as well as those eligible for induction in the spring — were putting on their creative hats for “Mustangs Make a Difference” Day, a campus-wide event dedicated to community service. The students in Lambda Pi Eta sponsored a station where all students could sit down and create a card or two for the children and families helped out by the “Cool Kids Campaign.”
After the event, nearly 200 cards will be sent to the organization that is headed by a Stevenson/Villa Julie alumni, Chris Federico. The Cool Kids Campaign is “devoted to improving the quality of life for pediatric oncology patients and their families by focusing on the academic, social and emotional needs brought on by a cancer diagnosis,” according to its website. The entire day’s event demonstrated how many students want to get involved in community service. (Photos courtesy of Lanie Swanhart)
